oper8r Documentation

Welcome to oper8r! This guide will help walk you through the one time onboarding process to train your oper8r agent.

To get started, you'll need an account. If you don't have an account, go to oper8r.io and click the Sign Up button. Once you have an account, and are logged in, then you can start the onboarding process.

Step 1: Company Name

Enter the full name of your company, as you'd describe it to customers. This is what oper8r will call your company and use to train itself.

oper8r will use this name, along with your company website, to run deep research, build and store:

  • A detailed description of your company.
  • A detailed ICP (ideal customer profile) of your company.

oper8r uses this data to answer questions and create content that is highly relevant to your company and your customers. Once onboarding is complete, you can review and modify the company description and ICP.

Step 2: Company Website

Enter the website of your company. oper8r will ensure the website is healthy, publicly available and contains your company name.

Beyond building the company description and ICP, oper8r will scrape all of the pages on your website to generate embeddings, and store them in a vector database, to use for retrieval augmented generation during chats, to complete questionnaires and to generate content.

Step 3: Product Documentation

This step is optional, but highly recommended. Press Skip to skip this step and move to the next step.

Enter the URL to your product documentation. oper8r will ensure the website is healthy, publicly available and contains your company name.

oper8r will scrape all of the pages in your product documentation to generate embeddings, and store them in a vector database, to use for retrieval augmented generation during chats, to complete questionnaires and to generate content.

Step 4: Upload Context Files

This step is optional, but highly recommended. Press Skip to skip this step and move to the next step.

You can upload files that contain completed questionnaires, RFPs, FAQs, company context, etc. You can upload the following types of files: CSV, DOC, DOCX, MD, MDX, ODP, ODS, ODT, PDF, PPT, PPTX, TXT, XLS, XLSX

oper8r will parse all of the files you upload, turn them into markdown, generate embeddings, and store them in a vector database, to use for retrieval augmented generation during chats, to complete questionnaires and to generate content.

Step 5: Review and Start Training

Ensure that your company name, website URL, product documentation URL and uploaded context files look correct.

Once everything looks correct, click the Next button. This will kick off the training process, which can take 5-10 minutes depending on how many pages are scraped and files you've uploaded.

oper8r will start to do deep research on your company and build out an ICP (ideal customer profile). oper8r will then start to scrape your website, product documentation, and uploaded CSVs, and start to generate embeddings and store the data in a vector database.
